The Global AI bootcamp is a free one-day event organized by local communities all over the world that are passionate about Artificial Intelligence on the Microsoft stack.
The event takes place on the 15th of December on venues all over the world centrally organized by our HQ in the Netherlands, supported by Microsoft. The event is the perfect balance between quality content, awesome lectures, getting your hands dirty and learn & share with other community members.
Dive in and learn how to implement intelligence into your solutions with the Microsoft AI platform, including pre-trained AI services like Cognitive Services and Bot Framework, as well as deep learning tools like Azure Machine Learning, Visual Studio Code Tools for AI, and Cognitive Toolkit.
During this AI bootcamp you will get inspired through sessions and get your hands dirty during the workshops. By the end of the day you will be able to infuse AI into your applications.

- Title : Global AI Bootcamp Keynote [recorded]
After a tremendous age of innovation and research in the AI field, we are moving towards the age of appliance. But how and where do you get started as a developer and how do you apply machine learning ethically and use it for good. In this keynote Amy and Henk asked eight Microsoft employees all with different backgrounds, like Eric Boyd, Seth Juarez, Hanna Wallach and Jennifer Marsman, their view on the topics: AI for developers, ethics in AI and AI for good. Join us in this 30-minute documentary style keynote to kick-off your day of learning at the Global AI Bootcamp 2018.
Time: 11.30 am - 1.00 pm
- Session Title:
Introduction to Azure ML Platform
Understanding its fully managed services for building, deploying, and managing machine learning and AI models in the cloud. You’ll learn how to prepare data, build a Machine Learning model, operationalize your model and consume it within your application. Additionally, we’ll review the different tools and services available to you for each process.

Time: 3.45 - 6.00 pm
We will work through a Jupyter notebook hosted on Azure [Did you know you could host Jupyter notebooks for free in Azure] where YOU will use automated machine learning for energy demand forecastingf
As part of the Global AI bootcamp we will be running a Global AI Racing lab. You can participate in the lab by running a 3D driving simulation that will use machine learning to evolve the ability to drive a car around three tracks in a racing game. We will have a Global ranking website where you can view the overall standings of the points scored by different locations and download and install the Global AI Racing Lab Game. More details regarding the machine learning algorithms used will also be shown.
